Starting out as a commercial contractor as John E. Shavers Company, John Shavers’ personal reputation soon spread and took him into different markets, immediately including disaster work with the aftermath of Hurricane Camille in ‘69.

In January 1986, John E. Shavers Company consolidated its diverse construction operations into a new company named JESCO Construction (JESCO). John E. Shavers Company had been providing construction services to clients for many years, but the volume of this work significantly increased and diversified so JESCO was established to provide a full suite of construction services at competitive prices, including comprehensive construction services to the marine, disaster, commercial, heavy/civil, and industrial markets.

In 2006, JESCO Construction became JESCO Construction Corporation, formed to deliver a full range of services that satisfy client needs for progressive construction management, general contracting, and design-build/EPC. Today JESCO maintains an integrated network of offices in the South and Southeast with a long tenured dedicated team of professional and support staff.
